There is a very important and often overlooked aspect you need to be aware of...

WHAT IS HOLDING THE HOUSE UP?

Its not that we're suggesting the house could fall into the basement but rather, we'd like to talk to you about what kind of spaces you might like to develop (now or down the road when the budget will allow).

What you choose now could allow you to build beautiful wide open family friendly spaces or could severly limit you to spaces of about the same dimensions as a single bowling lane.

We think that you would probably want the freedom to develop your living areas which ever way you choose and not be limited by the type of support system used in your house.

So... what we're really talking about here may not look terribly interesting (just a post holding up a beam).

Boring! But just a minute. What's really boring is lower and main level development with long narrow spaces or a family room built around posts running right down the middle.
